Remote controlled trucks are controlled by a hand held remote control that sends signals of the inputted commands to a transceiver built inside RC trucks. The transceiver understands the commands and instructs the mechanism of the RC truck to abide by its commands. There are two versions of an RC truck, the electric RC truck and the gas RC truck. The difference is in the way the engine gets their power. Electric RC trucks get their power form a battery pack that has a rechargeable nickel-cadmium or nickel metal hydride cells inside. Gas RC trucks get their push from an engine that runs on special nitromethane/methyl alcohol/castor oil fuel mix. For beginners, the electric RC trucks are more preferable since they are easier to build and modify. Gas RC trucks need a bit more experience but they do provide the more staying power.
Like real trucks, radio controlled trucks need proper maintenance, okay some may feel why all this bother? They are just toys. Yes there are some RC trucks that’s built for kids, there are RC trucks that are hobby grade, these are the ones for the more serious enthusiasts. RC trucks are a passion for so many people. Owning and maintaining RC trucks are a serious business, costs can run high and the effort invested could rack up to many hours.
